By Maggie Thomas

This past semester of Fall 2015, I participated in the Disney College Program, which is an internship for college students to come work at Disney World for a semester. I accepted a role in the Merchandise department. I worked in Epcot at five different locations: Club Cool, Pin Central, Art of Disney, Mission Space Cargo Bay, and Test Track Inside Track. My job every day was to sell items to guests, helping to make sure the store was stocked and looked nice, help guests by answering any questions they had about anything, and to make magical moments to help guests remember their vacation. Normally, I worked five days a week, and would be assigned to one location each day. In addition to register shifts, halfway through my program I got trained for floorstock shifts. During these shifts, I rotate between two or three of the stores, and my only job was to make sure the floor was stocked and show ready.
